Chant Modality at the Keyboard and Chant Accompaniment

Are you an organist who’s new to chant or could use a refresher on how to approach chant at the keyboard? Join Professor Christopher Berry and Dr. Jennifer Donelson-Nowicka as they discuss the basics of understanding chant modality at the keyboard, as well as the rhythmic and harmonic principles behind the main schools of chant accompaniment. Registration and texture will also be addressed.

Join us for an overview of the most well-loved music of English Tudor composer, William Byrd.

$20 for 1 topic - live access via Zoom

$50 for all 3 topics in the series - live access via Zoom

$10 per topic add-on for archived access. NB: This is an ADD-ON to the $20 fee for the individual workshop or $50 fee for the series. No access is available without also selecting the live workshop. Your registration will be canceled if only this option is selected. You must select both the topic/series plus each archived access add-on.
